Why Troy Remains My Favorite Film

Rarely do I have time to watch a film. However, if I were to choose my favorite movie, Troy would undoubtedly be my pick. Its appeal stems not only from the historical relevance of its storyline but also from the breathtaking scenery and the stellar performances of its main actors.

An Unforgettable Cinematic Experience

The film boasts an all-star cast whose witty dialogues left an unforgettable impression on me. Despite depicting a well-known historical event, its plot is far from hackneyed. The narrative centers on Paris and Hector, brothers and princes of Troy, who must defend their city against Greek forces after Paris falls in love with Helen, the Spartan king's wife.

Spartan and Greek kings recruit Achilles, widely considered the greatest warrior, to lead their attack on Troy. The battles are nothing short of amazing, portraying a war that would be remembered for millennia. What struck me most was Hector's unwavering protection of his brother. He is a truly brave character, fighting against Achilles without fear of death.

In short, if given the opportunity to recommend a film, I would wholeheartedly suggest Troy. It is, by far, one of the best movies I have ever seen, and it certainly sets a high standard for others.

My Most Valuable Possession: The Mobile Phone

Most people have an object that holds significant importance in their lives—it could be anything: a watch, a ring, a book, or something else entirely. However, if I were to choose my most precious treasure, I would unequivocally opt for my mobile phone. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, it is my most valuable possession, making me feel truly handicapped without it. I depend on it for almost everything.

The Indispensable iPhone X

My mobile phone is an iPhone X. It's medium-sized, hard yet smooth, quite thin, and rectangular. It's primarily made of aluminum and glass, among other components. I've only had it for six months; it was a thoughtful present from my mother after I passed my last exams.

I'm accustomed to keeping it with me everywhere I go, using it for nearly every aspect of my daily life, including:

  • Communicating with friends and family
  • Reading articles and books
  • Taking photos and videos
  • Chatting on social media
  • Searching on the web for information

I acknowledge that I can sometimes be a little too reliant on it and should perhaps spend more time disconnected. However, despite its potential drawbacks, I strongly believe it makes my life significantly easier. In a nutshell, I consider my mobile phone a valuable treasure. The more I use it, the more I appreciate it. Not only does it help me carry out numerous activities, but it also brings back good memories from the moment I received it, marking the end of a year of tremendous hard work.
