Barcelona: A Cosmopolitan Hub
Barcelona, located on the Mediterranean Sea in the very north of the Spanish coast, is certainly the most cosmopolitan and economically active city in Spain.
It has always demonstrated its drive for modernity, consistently following or even leading the latest international trends. For tourists, this is especially evident in its architecture, which so well reflects the general approach to life in this ever-pulsating city. Of course, Barcelona boasts a rich history, with monuments from Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance periods, and even earlier. However, what is most characteristic is the architecture built over the last century.
Despite its vibrant urban life, Barcelona faces environmental challenges, primarily due to its high volume of cars and large factories, contributing to pollution. Nevertheless, despite its bustling population, Barcelona remains a captivating and beloved city.
