English2.68 KB

The purpose of this report is to make some recommendations on ways to improve the academic environment for students of UPAO. I recently finished my studies at this prestigious university, and in general, I was quite satisfied with the equipment, teachings, and experience that I acquired in all these years of study. English3.11 KB

Social Class in An Inspector Calls

An Inspector Calls is a play about social class. It was written by J.B. Priestley in 1945 but set in 1912, and the play begins with a family celebration. Priestley examines ideas about social class through the way the Birlings think and how they behave towards the lower classes.

The Birling Family and the Wealthy Elite

In this play, we do not find any characters from the lower class except for the maid. We perceive only the wealthy: the Birling family—Mr. Birling, Mrs. Birling (parents), Sheila (daughter), and Eric (son)—and Gerald Croft, Sheila’s boyfriend. Modern Perspectives on Life and Environment

The Reality of Being a Teenager Today

Your life as a teenager: “The teenager's life is easy...” This is a very common statement which is said to teenagers every day. Although teenage life is normally seen as one of the best periods of life, I don’t agree with it. On the one hand, there are many teenagers who think that their lives are rather hard but, from my point of view… When they get home... The Life and Poetic Legacy of Antonio Machado

English2.83 KB

Antonio Machado was born on July 26, 1875. He was the second of five siblings. While his father was a scholar of folklore, his grandfather was a professor of natural sciences at the University of Seville and was, therefore, responsible for maintaining the whole family.

He studied at the Institución Libre de Enseñanza (the Institution Free of Teaching), where Julián Sanz del Río, a philosopher with liberal and progressive ideas in education, instilled values that Antonio assumed and reflected in his works.

In Madrid, he stayed until 1887, and in 1889, he began his high school studies, finishing in 1899...
