Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters - A Young Demigod's Journey
1. Book Title: Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters
2. Setting
In this book, the characters embark on an adventure to many places. They start at Camp Half-Blood and then move on to Circe's Island, the location of C.C.'s Spa and Resort. However, the main setting is Polyphemus' Island. This island is where the Golden Fleece is located, and it is their final destination before returning home to camp. Polyphemus' Island initially appears to be a regular island. However, the presence of deadly, carnivorous sheep quickly dispels that notion. The island gives the illusion of peace, but it is far from it. As they entered the island, they observed seemingly peaceful sheep. Suddenly, a deer emerged, and in a split second, the sheep devoured it whole. They then continued walking as if nothing had happened. This unnerved everyone, including Annabeth.

4. Plot
It was Percy's last day of school, and he was about to complete his first year without getting expelled. During an end-of-the-year dodgeball game, he was attacked by Laistrygonian Giants and nearly killed. Thankfully, Tyson was there to save him from most of the giants. When Percy was knocked down, Annabeth appeared and saved him. Annabeth then called Percy and Tyson over, explaining that they needed to go to Camp Half-Blood because it was in danger. Upon arriving, they found the camp under attack by monsters. The entire place was in disarray, and the campers looked exhausted. They discovered that Thalia's tree, which generates a protective force field around the camp, had been poisoned. While at camp, they learned that Tyson is a Cyclops and Percy's half-brother, a son of Poseidon. The only thing that could regenerate the tree was the Golden Fleece, located in the most dangerous part of the ocean: the Sea of Monsters. The new camp director chose a volunteer to retrieve the Fleece and save the camp. He selected Clarisse. Later that night, while Percy was by the water, talking to his father, he encountered Hermes. Hermes convinced Percy to go after the Fleece. Percy's friends then magically appeared, thinking Percy had called them. Hermes had given Percy a backpack filled with everything he needed for his perilous journey to the Sea of Monsters.
