Facilities for heating and cooling. The installation of heating monitors and maintains the temperature of the housing higher than the outside temperature. The installation of cooling monitors and maintains the temperature of the housing at a temperature lower than the outside. The installation of air conditioning controls and maintains temperature and humidity inside the house within comfortable margins.

Types of Heating Installations

Installation of heating systems:

  • Natural convection: This is the heat transmission through radiators or hot oil.
  • Forced convection: This consists of a device that heats the air and drives it heated, with or without piping.
  • Radiation: This includes heat or radiant floors. The system is also used for heating hot water.

Key Components of Heating Systems

The elements of the installation of heating:

  • The boiler: A heat pump that heats water and distributes it to the house.
  • Expansion vessel: This can absorb the expansion undergone by the hot water circuit.
  • Circuit heat distribution: Includes pipes, radiators, vents, taps, and valves. The vents allow air to be removed from the radiators that accumulates on top of the installation.
  • Elements of regulation and control: Thermostats, thermostatic taps, and programmers.

Air Conditioning and Climate Control

The installation of air conditioning is used to cool the house in summer and warm it in winter; it also regulates humidity, movement, and air renewal. The apparatus used is most commonly a heat pump, which consists of a refrigeration circuit with two parts: the evaporator, which requires heat to evaporate the fluid, and the condenser, which transmits the latent heat of condensation. This system is very efficient and saves energy.

Safety and Maintenance Procedures

Use, storage, and security of air conditioning installations:

  • Do not manipulate anything that we do not understand or try to solve any problem if we do not know the subject.
  • If the installation goes wrong, it is advisable to cut off the power and call technical support.
  • Monitor the water level or fluid circuit according to the manufacturer's instructions; if necessary, replenish it.
  • If there is a leak or drip, immediately cut the power supply and notify the service technician.

All these points are valid for heating installations. Do not cover air inputs and outputs of a boiler, and do not store flammable or combustible materials nearby.
