Professional Eye Correction Techniques

Correcting the Eye Line

• Horizontal: Use upward shadows.
• Ascending: The lower line of the eye chart should be placed below the natural elongated line.
• Descending: Use ascending lines and shadows; avoid applying mascara to the end of the eyelid.

Adjusting Eye Size

• Large: Use dark colors bordering the eye.
• Small (Pekeños): Apply color from the center of the lid to the external angle.

Enhancing Eye Shape

• Round: Apply clear shadow inside the eyelid and dark shadow on the edge, extending to the outside.
• Almond (Macaroons): Use eyeliner and shadows in an upward direction.

Managing Eye Distance

• Close-set (Together): Use the lightest shade on the inside of the eyelid and darker shades at the outer eye.
• Wide-set (Apart): Use dark shades in the inner corner and clear eyeliner reaching the tear duct, avoiding the outside.
• Bulging: Apply a dark area on the outgoing line that exceeds the external angle.
• Sunken: Use clear shadow on the mobile eyelid and dark shadow at the top.

Lip Correction and Contouring

• Thick: Draw the lip contour inside your natural line and use intense colors.
• Fine: Profile the lips outside of your natural line.
• Large: Shape the inner zone and reduce the corners.
• Small (Pekeña): Shape the outer lips beyond the natural line and lengthen the corners.

Lip Line Adjustments

• Horizontal: Elevate the upper lip line.
• Drooping (Caida): Line up at the ends and continue with the lower lip.
• Ascending: No correction required.

Facial Hair Bleaching Procedures

Hair bleaching is the process of clarifying hair above its natural color through the loss of melanin by oxidizing it with hydrogen peroxide.

Cosmetic Characteristics

Oxidation occurs as oxygen is released when hydrogen peroxide decomposes in an alkaline medium.

Stages of Bleaching

1. Prepare the equipment and the client.
2. Prepare the product.
3. Apply the product.
4. Leave the product to act; heat can be used if you want to accelerate discoloration.

Eyebrow Tinting Methods

Tinting is used when we wish to rinse or color the eyebrows.

Features and Ingredients

Active principles include vegetable (plants), metal (metal salts that darken hair color), and synthetic (chemical substances).

Application Phases

1. Clean the eyebrows with eye makeup remover.
2. Select the desired tint color, adding 3 or 4 drops of 10-volume peroxide.
3. Mix with a brush.
4. Apply to cover the color; if you need to cover gray hair, leave it to act. If needed, shave stains first.

Safety Precautions

• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Monitor the process so eyebrows do not fade more than desired.
• If the skin is sensitive or redness and itching (pikor) appear, wash with cold water to remove the product and apply cream.

Professional Eyelash Tinting

Eyelashes are elastic and resistant hairs that protect the eyes. Tinting increases pigmentation more than hair dye and offers the advantage of not needing to use mascara.

Application Phases

1. Clean the eyelashes with eye makeup remover.
2. Apply protective cream to the upper eyelid and under the lower lashes.
3. Place a cotton crescent moistened in water over the protective cream; the client must close their eyes.
4. Prepare the dye and apply first to the ends, then the rest.
5. Wait 10 to 15 minutes.
6. Remove the dye from root to tip using a cotton swab dipped in water.
