Installation Best Practices for Hydraulic Systems
Heat Exchanger Assembly
- The exchanger must be equipped with both input and output valves.
- If the exchanger is connected to an accumulator, it should be located at the bottom of the accumulator.
Pump Mounting
- The inline pump should be installed on the cold line of the circuit.
- Ensure the pump is positioned horizontally and perfectly aligned with the axis of rotation.
- Connections must not create mutual stress. Use a dampening sleeve to absorb vibrations.
- This setup should also be equipped to allow for accurate pressure measurements.
Pipe Installation
- Install pipes in an orderly manner, following three mutually perpendicular axes.
- Avoid circuitous or winding routes to facilitate proper air displacement.
- Horizontal pipe runs must always have a minimum slope to prevent air locks.
- For safety, water pipes must always be installed below electrical pipes and conduits.
- On very long pipeline stretches, use expansion joints (dilators) to compensate for axial movements caused by thermal expansion.
Air Trap Installation
- Air traps must be mounted at the highest points of each circuit to be effective.
- The pipe leading from the collector to the trap must be continuous.
- Always ensure the trap is mounted in a stable, upright position.
General Sensor Installation
- Sensors should be installed in a battery configuration.
- They can be connected in either series or parallel, as required.
- The total number of sensors to be installed will be determined by the manufacturer's specifications.
