absolute monarchy: the king had much power, his only limitation was the traditional rights of the nobility (they tried to use their power to cancel or disrespect them), they controlled the government, the law and the judiciary. The king could rule over the kingdom, extract taxes and they had a professional army. Spain, france, portugal, austria, prussia and sweden.
