Essential Banking Services: Credits, Guarantees, and Transfers
Financial Discount and Credit Accounts
A financial discount clearing account credit often involves significant costs if the beneficiary does not utilize the funds in their entirety immediately throughout the term, as accrued interest applies to the whole credit amount.
Bank Deposit Guarantees
A bank guarantee is a contract where a credit institution assumes compliance with a customer's obligations as the principal debtor. These involve commitment appropriations to pay a debt if the principal debtor fails to do so. The bank charges a fee for the bond and agreed-upon interest. In the event of default, the guarantee becomes effective.
Direct Debit Charges
Depository institutions verify licenses for free services that authorize account debits. Customers can order home writing receipts by providing the company with their bank and account information. This process helps clients avoid travel, time loss, and risks or surcharges associated with late payments.
Bank Transfers
When entities differ, funds are reinstated in the beneficiary's account within a maximum of two days, typically free of charge. In commercial traffic, transfers pose the core problem of determining when obligations are extinguished. A simple transfer order does not extinguish these obligations; discharge occurs only when the bank executes the order and pays the beneficiary. In the absence of a specific agreement, the institution must complete the transfer by the end of the fifth working day following the order's acceptance.
Agency Services for Officials
Banks act as intermediaries between taxpayers and public agencies. Instead of visiting an agency, customers submit official forms to the bank, which charges the account and provides proof of payment. The bank then deposits the proceeds to the public body by the deadline.
Advantages of Agency Services
- For the customer: Speed and convenience by eliminating the need to withdraw cash. This is a free service.
- For the financial institution: It is cost-effective as it captures resources, making them profitable during the period between collection and entry into the public body, while providing a better understanding of the customer.
