Procedure for Calculating Exceptionally Low Bids

When you have one tenderer, the reference shall be the Base Budget Bidding (PBL). It is considered an exceptionally low offer if less than 25% of the PBL. The offer is exceptionally low if: A < 0.75 PBL.

When there are two bidders, the difference will be the highest amount bid. Where A is the offer equal to or greater than the supply amount B, the offer is considered reckless if B is less than 20 percentage units of supply A. The offer will be reckless if B meets: B < 0.80 A

Where there are three bidders, A being the offer of equal or greater value than offer B, and B's offer is of equal or greater amount than supply C, the procedure for calculating disproportionate or reckless supply is as...

Concrete and Welding Inspection and Testing

Concrete Testing

Slump Test

The slump test assesses fresh concrete consistency and indirectly verifies the correct water amount. Wet concrete is placed in a cone-shaped mold and allowed to slump after the cone is removed. The vertical distance between the mold top and the slumped mixture top indicates workability.

The slump is acceptable if within the specified tolerance. If unacceptable, another test is performed immediately. If the second test also fails, the concrete is rejected.

Welding Inspection

Visual Inspection and Slag Removal

Visual inspection checks for defects like cracking, slag inclusions, porosity, and undercut. For simple welds, inspection at the start and periodically during the process...

Understanding the Rational Allocation Model for Cost Management

Other subjects3.16 KB

Understanding the Rational Allocation Model

The rational allocation model is a complementary model to homogeneous sections, which takes into account the level of activity of the company. Its basic premise is that variations in the level of activity cause changes in the cost figures from the perspective of the Full Cost. It is intended to prevent fluctuations in activity levels from affecting the cost of products, and therefore the outcome of the exercise.

Variable Costs

Variable costs are totally related to the level of activity. Therefore, these costs will increase or decrease as the level of activity does. These variable costs (VC) are usually fixed per unit of product. Therefore, they will not present distortions in the cost figures.

Fixed Costs

Fixed...
