Spain's Public Sector: Structure, Classification and Management Models

Geology3.97 KB

TMA 1

1.2. Spanish Public Sector Configuration: Scope and Organization of Management

The delimitation of the various economic entities that make up the public sector is a necessary and preliminary step for any analysis of the public accounting problem. We can divide these entities according to the criterion of territoriality (state, autonomous and local) and according to the legal regime applicable to them (public administration, public business sector, and public foundations).

The classification of the public sector is important because it establishes differences in the way these entities manage their resources: the accounting regime to be applied, the budgetary regime, the legal regime, the financing system, and the control models, among others....

Positivism, Marx, and Durkheim: Core Sociology Concepts for Exams

Geology4.13 KB

Positivism and the Scientific Method in Sociology

The finals start soon, so it is important to review sociology and the reasons behind positivism. Scientific knowledge and techniques are central to this approach. Positivism is part of the philosophy of science. Mario Bunge described the characteristics of scientific knowledge as follows:

  • 1 - Scientific knowledge is true and not merely an alternative to other methods of contrasting ideas.
  • 2 - It is empirical.
  • 3 - It discovers its own laws.
  • 4 - It is scientific because its methods of application are clearly defined: 1) it formulates well-structured questions, 2) it poses hypotheses that contrast with experience, 3) it draws logical consequences from hypotheses, 4) it interprets results, and 5) it

Ancient Egyptian Music and Instruments Through the Ages

Geology6.1 KB

New Kingdom Music and Cultural Exchange

The New Kingdom saw Egypt expel foreign rulers, establish a new capital in Thebes, and enjoy a brilliant period of prosperity in the history of Egypt. After the Syrian conquest, the repercussions were great in Egyptian music. In the Egyptian court, the first Syrian-native musicians entertained the court with new instruments introduced from the Orient.

This period saw a change in dance and music, which came alive again with sensual rhythms. Music took on a new social function, as women began to play the sistrum.

Instruments multiplied, and new and old types appeared. Some were preserved, such as the gold and silver trumpets found in Tutankhamun's tomb, which were used to accompany royal ceremonies.

Percussion...

Commercial Registry Principles: Enforceability, Publication and Priority

Geology1.97 KB

Commercial Registry Principles

6. The Principle of Enforceability

The principle of enforceability is set out in Article 9 of the Commercial Registry Regulation (Reglamento del Registro Mercantil). Together with the principle of legality mentioned above, it is one of the most important principles of the registry system, as it determines when registrable acts can be relied upon against third parties. This principle comprises four aspects:

Subjects of Registration Acts

Registration acts are only enforceable against third parties in good faith from the date of their official publication in the Commercial Registry Bulletin (BORME). From the date of publication, it is presumed that third parties are aware of the registered acts.

Exceptions Within 15 Days

Islamic Marriage Impediments: Permanent, Temporary, and Religious Restrictions

Probability Link: Error

Although it may appear to be a link, the probability of a single link is one, and what matters is the Islamic matrix character. The figures for admitted divorce do not imply any contradiction in the matrix, given the religious consideration of its institute. This character is a production of probability, since at the moment the spouses give their consent, independently of the day, the relation may give rise to a negative marital outcome, the same day of the break. Doctrine addresses possible temporary marriages or mut'a within the matrix. Both claims were premised on the figure of a scope that is even valid for the Islamic school, well founded in part, and so the type of relation the figure describes is one of a true...

Energy Classifications

Primary Energy: Energy available directly in the wild.

High Energy (Processed): These are processed energy sources, such as diesel.

Non-Renewable and Renewable Energy

  • Non-Renewable Energy: Energy that is consumed solely during its processes of transformation and consumption. Examples include oil, coal, and nuclear power.
  • Renewable Energy: Energy that may or may not be consumed during transformation, but remains available on a human scale.
  • ERNC (Unconventional Renewable Energy): Natural resources that are not exhausted and require new technology. Examples include wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, oceans, hydraulics, and tides.

Ancient Egyptian Music: History, Instruments and Musical Traditions

Geology5.82 KB

Egyptian Music

Egyptian music is thought to have been very generalized in its practice. Music was a popular form of expression, typically performed collectively as well as individually, with or without instruments.

The voice was considered the most powerful instrument, capable of connecting with the divine and with the afterlife.

In religion, the most common form of song was the alternating chant between two priests and two priestesses, who sometimes combined their voices with those of soloists. In one half of the song, one priest sang a hymn to Osiris, and the voices were accompanied by instruments.

Instruments were used both individually and collectively by orchestras. Drums marked the pace, with rhythms based on the quarter note or the eighth...

Cell Organelles: Structure and Function of Ribosomes, ER, Golgi, Lysosomes, Mitochondria and Peroxisomes

Geology12.55 KB

Cytoplasmic Organelles

1. Ribosomes

Concept: Cytoplasmic organelles delimited by a membrane, which are particles composed of ribonucleoproteins and protein. Free ribosomes are found in the cytoplasm, or bound to the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. The association of ribosomes with the rough endoplasmic reticulum constitutes a group of ribosomes that are sometimes called clusters.

Structure: Ribosomes are made up of two subunits: a large subunit (containing 28S rRNA, 5.8S and 5S rRNA and about 49 proteins) and a small subunit (containing about 33 proteins and 18S rRNA).

Function: The ribosome is the organelle responsible for protein synthesis. It reads the sequences of nucleotides in the mRNA, a different codon in the DNA determines which...
