My Dorm Room: A Castle of Friendship

English2.29 KB

I lived 16 years, and I made countless relationships with numerous people. When I first came to KMLA, I felt a bit nervous since I never experienced dormitory life. To me, my room meant more than just a place to live in. Like a little castle, I felt cozy and comfortable, and no one could disrupt my comfort. However, my two roommates who lived with me for the first time in my life each possessed distinct and charming characteristics, and all the memories and experiences with my roommates granted me with a strong bond with them. Before I came to KMLA, one of the graduate students told me, sharing a dorm with friends will help me to get closer and share internal emotions with them, feeling precious to each other more than anything else in KMLA....

NCIS and Titanic: Enduring Popular Culture Favorites

English3.35 KB

Popular Screen Entertainment: NCIS and Titanic

NCIS: A Gripping Crime Drama

In my country, NCIS has been popular for a long time. However, it seems fashionable these days to criticize popular American TV series, but who doesn't watch them from time to time? There are different NCIS series, and I'm going to talk about NCIS: Navy.

My mother loves this TV series too, so I must admit I never miss an episode of NCIS. In it, Gibbs, "the boss," leads a brilliant team of investigators. Every episode is dramatic as they work to uncover who committed a murder.

Meet the NCIS Team

Gibbs is the main character. He's a tough guy with a big heart, who never rests until he has found the criminal. His team is made up of:

  • DiNozzo
  • Ziva
  • McGee
  • Abby
  • Ducky

From my point of view,...

The Importance of Sports for Society: A Global Perspective

English2.14 KB

Do you think now a days in the 20th century sports is important for our society?

Well, I do. In my opinion, sports is always important.
Did you know that 60% of people in Australia and the USA are obese because of the lack of practiced sports in their country?
People need to be healthy and fit to have a good day-to-day life and to live longer.
Sports maintains everyone who practices it fit and healthy.
There are lots of benefits of being like this, not only physically, but also socially and mentally. This is why there are so many adolescents fit and on target, because they think sports are very important, as I do. But I want to make clear that sports is not practiced as much as here in Spain in other countries. In some sports, it is practiced more,

Theme Park Adventures: A Day of Thrills and Fun

English2.39 KB

The Excitement of a Theme Park Morning

A Vibrant Atmosphere

The most astounding morning view of a theme park is a blaze of yellow and light pink, evoking a feeling of excitement in any adventurous soul. Vividly crowded with families, groups of students, small children with their aunties, and couples, theme parks are a place of excitement for people of all ages.

Roller Coaster Thrills

The roller coasters, usually painted an intense red, have long and sometimes boring rows. Adolescents are usually gathered up under the shade of a tree, waiting to endure the thrill. Teenagers with the typical nervous smirk on their faces shout acute screams throughout the slopes, ups, and downs of the red roller coasters.

Food and Games

Delicious Treats

Theme parks have...
