Lluciana's Fight: Overcoming a Coma
Lluciana's Ordeal: A Dangerous Substance
It starts at dawn when the phone rings at the home of the Salas family. The call is from the hospital clinic where Lluciana's parents are informed that their daughter has taken a dangerous substance.
Friends of Lluciana had taken her to the hospital. They were there when she took the pill and were able to help. While waiting, the doctors suggest calling Eloi, Lluciana's boyfriend, to explain what happened because he was not there at the time.
The Crisis: Lluciana in a Coma
Doctors report that Lluciana is in a coma. When her parents go to see her, her friends tell them what happened: who bought the ecstasy tablets, and that when Lluciana took one, she began to feel ill, became very hot, and was taken to the hospital.
Doctors report that the substance Lluciana has taken is not ecstasy, but a very similar substance named Eva.
Eloi went to find the man who had sold the tablets to Lluciana and her friends, to buy another pill from him. This way, the doctors could see what she was carrying and analyze it to help Lluciana.
The police also search for the dealer who sold the pills, to stop him.
Parallel Struggles: Loreto and Mario
Simultaneously, Loreto, Lluciana's best friend, tries to fight her bulimia and succeeds. She realizes that she does not want to be between life and death, thinking about what is happening to Lluciana.
Mario Zapata, a journalist, wants to cover Lluciana's case. He first requests information from Vincent, but he won't reveal anything. He then interrogates Norma, Lluciana's sister, and discovers that she is a chess champion, eighteen years old, and a good student. He obtains some pictures of her in a coma.
Lluciana's Internal Battle: Chess with Death
Meanwhile, Lluciana is feeling and seeing everything that is happening and tries to speak and tell them something, but she cannot. It is as if she were playing a game of chess with death; if she loses, she dies.
Resolution: The Search for the Dealer
Eloi, with the help of Cinta, Up, and Santi, finds the man who sold the Eva tablets. When they pursue him in conjunction with the police, the dealer, who had the pills in his hand, stumbles and falls, hitting his head. He throws the pills into the sewer and dies, but Cinta, who was further back, manages to take one of the pills.
