Internet Use Effects, Youth Communication and Tokyo Impressions
Internet y su uso:
Internet y su uso: In recent years, technological breakthroughs have come so quickly that we have hardly been able to catch up with them, but young people are different and the youngest have understood these new forms of communication very quickly.
They can spend hours on their computers and, moreover, when they are not at home they can walk down the street while typing on their phones, which could be amazing or scary depending on the beholder.
For them, it's terrific how quickly they are able to connect with their friends, to always be in touch with them, and to hear the latest news at the same moment it is taking place.
In my opinion, they seem to have lost the art of making conversation. It's difficult for them to speak with other people for a long time or even to express themselves because they tend to explain ideas and feelings using emoticons. On the one hand, they have become used to summarizing what they think about something in just a few words so that they don't need to type a lot. On the other hand, they have forgotten how to express those ideas in a more formal way.
In addition, it also affects their writing. They tend to write some words using just a few letters in order to occupy less time, and sometimes they can't remember how to write these words properly.
In my opinion, the Internet can become an addiction, and we have to teach our kids how to use it properly in order to get the most benefit from its advantages without suffering its disadvantages.
Descripción de un lugar:
Descripción de un lugar: Have you ever been to Japan? I have. And one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to is Tokyo. Its architecture is very modern, its streets are wide, and its people are the kindest on the planet.
When I was in Tokyo, I found myself surprised by many things, but especially by three facts I wasn't expecting to be true about this city. And here I give them to you, so if some day you visit Tokyo (please, do), you will know some of the things that are ahead of you. PA: Women wear just too much make-up. Beautiful as they may be, Japanese women in Tokyo don't seem to leave their homes before spending quite an amount of time (and money, I may add) applying an assortment of products to their faces. Colors are anything but discreet and nobody seems to find this out of the ordinary. PA: Tokyo residents are entirely too obedient to traffic lights. It doesn't matter if there isn't a single car coming down the street: they just won't cross until the light is green for them to go on. At first I found this infuriating, even when I knew it was the right thing to do. But eventually I grew accustomed to it.
