Writing Task Report

Your college has been asked to accept a group of 50 students from another country for two weeks. Your principal has asked you to write a report. What would be the advantages and disadvantages of accepting this group? What would you recommend?

The main purpose of this report is to determine if accepting a group of 50 students from another country for two weeks would be worthwhile. To prepare for this report, I visited a college near my district and inquired about this type of program.

All interviewees believe that this kind of initiative would be fantastic for our college, as it presents an opportunity that few people can experience.

Advantages of Accepting the Group:

  1. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and discover their customs.
  2. We could learn about their cultures and lifestyles.
  3. It's a nice way to connect with students from other countries.

Disadvantages of Accepting the Group:

  1. If any problems occur, the consequences could be severe.
  2. Some families may not be interested in hosting students from other places.
  3. Language barriers could pose a challenge for communication.

I would therefore recommend accepting a group of students. However, 50 might be excessive. From my point of view, I recommend reducing the group to 20 students, which I believe would be better for everyone involved.

WRITING TASK ARTICLE

Imagine you were on a desert island. What important object, person, or place in your life would you miss most? What would be the reasons? Write an article answering these questions. We will publish the best articles in the magazine.

Well, if I were on a desert island, I'm sure I would miss many things. As for an object, I think I would miss my surfboard. I'm crazy about surfing; just thinking about being on a desert island without the possibility of surfing makes me sad!

Apart from that, I would miss my mother. She is always by my side, helping with my studies and providing everything I need. I am not the best son a mother could have, but I help at home and try not to argue with my parents. Whenever I have problems, she always offers advice or help. She is a very important person in my life.

The place I would miss would be a district called Palma del Río, near the city center of Córdoba. The weather there is great, and the people are kind and friendly. I have never tasted such good ham anywhere else in Spain!
