Waves: These agents cause coastal erosion, transporting and depositing sediment along shorelines, which are classified as either young or mature.
Ocean Currents and Tides
- Ocean Currents: Continuous movements of ocean water driven by temperature, salinity differences, or wind forces.
- Tides: Periodic fluctuations in sea level caused by the gravitational pull of the Sun and the Moon.
