  • Hoaxes: These are messages containing false information that encourage users to copy and distribute them to contacts, often under the guise of moral or solidarity-based issues.

Prevention Strategies

  1. Backups: Regularly back up hard disk data and store copies in a separate location.
  2. Avoid Original Media: Install programs from copies to ensure the original disk remains undamaged.
  3. Reject Unknown Sources: Avoid using software from unknown or suspicious sources to prevent infections.
