Adrian's Teenage Life
Adrian is 13 ¾ years old and makes resolutions for the new year. He is worried about a spot on his chin. Adrian has a dog that became ill after eating his father's model ship. His parents drink a lot of vodka. They got divorced, and his mother moved in with Mr. Lucas. Adrian met a girl at school named Pandora, whom he liked.
His best friend, Nigel, started a relationship with Pandora, but they broke up. Nigel was a wealthy boy with a beautiful house. One of Adrian's classmates, Barry Kent, hit him and tore his father's coat. Adrian discussed the fight with his father. When his grandmother found out, she resolved the problem by talking to Barry Kent and scaring him, so he stopped hitting Adrian.
Adrian went out with Pandora. His feelings grew when he kissed her, and he was captivated when he saw her riding a horse or in the swimming pool, largely due to his admiration for her.
Adrian also has a friend named Bert Baxter, an elderly man living in a modest house. Adrian helped him when Bert called the school asking for assistance. Adrian's father met Doreen Slater, and she was his girlfriend for a short period. However, Adrian's father still thought about his ex-wife, as he still loved her.
Adrian's mother visited them with Mr. Lucas, but Adrian's father disliked Mr. Lucas.
His mother returned home because she broke up with Mr. Lucas. He treated her as a sexual object, and she realized she still loved Adrian's father. Consequently, the family was happy again.
Adrian received a racing bike for Epiphany (January 6th). He was very happy about getting the bike and his developing relationship with Pandora. Adrian's birthday was in April, and he turned 14.
Adrian makes new resolutions for the following year. His parents were reunited. Bert met Queenie, they married, and began living together. Pandora helped Adrian with his homework. He met Barbara and liked her, but Pandora noticed. Barbara then told Adrian they should stop seeing each other, as she did not want Pandora to suffer.
When Adrian was 15, Bert gave him a model plane. While assembling it, he inhaled the glue, and his nose stuck to the plane. He went to the hospital. Upon returning home, he called Pandora, and they met again.
