Favorite Horror Films: Zombies, Slashers, and Tension

English2.64 KB

PELICULAS

When I was young, I watched the classic horror films like Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. My mum told me that when I was about six, she came downstairs in the middle of the night because there was a noise, and it was me watching The Omen on TV in the dark, on my own. So I guess I've always liked horror films.

I really like what are called 'slasher films' – the really gory, bloody, violent films like Final Destination and The Hills Have Eyes. I just find them quite funny and I like the special effects. I don't really find them scary at all. I think the scariest sort of films are the ones that are very tense, like Hitchcock films. I think the scariest one for me is The Birds because it's just very sinister the way that...

Animal Farm: Key Scenes and Character Analysis

Clover and Benjamin at the Commandments

Where in the story: This scene takes place near the end of the narrative, after many of the original Commandments have been secretly altered by the pigs. Clover senses something is amiss and asks Benjamin to read the text on the barn wall.

Characters involved: Clover, Benjamin, and Squealer are present. The other animals are nearby but fail to grasp the significance of the changes.

Significance: This scene is pivotal. It reveals that the Commandments have been rewritten to benefit the pigs. The final rule becomes: “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” This moment confirms the total failure of the revolution and proves the pigs have become indistinguishable from humans....

5SOS 'Don't Stop' and 'Heartbreak Girl' Lyrics Analysis

English3.32 KB

5SOS - Don't Stop

I can refresh you, so can a holiday.
You got me thinking that we could run away.
You are my ticket out; you tell me where and when.
I take your number, said you don't have a phone.
It's getting late now; I gotta let you go.
Everybody wants to take you home tonight.
I'm gonna find a way to make you mine.
Don't stop doin' what you're doin'.
Every time you move to the beat, it gets harder for me.
And you know it, know it, know it.
Don't stop 'cause you know that I like it.
Every time you walk in the room, you got all eyes on you.
And you know it, know it, know it.
Got me close now; sure, I can taste it.
You've got me tongue-tied; I can't escape it.
I remember what you got, the way you push me back.
Everybody wants to take you home tonight.
But...
