Weekend Activities and Eminem's Rise to Fame

English2.87 KB

My typical weekend.

On Friday evening, I usually stay in. My friend Ion sometimes comes to my house and we play computer games or surf the internet.

On Saturday, I often go to Manchester to watch a football match with my dad and my sister.

Then, in the evening, I always go out with my parents.

On Sunday morning, I never get up early. In the afternoon, I usually meet my friends and play sport. Our favourite sports are swimming and football. I usually do my homework!

My Favourite TV Programme

My favourite TV programme is the American series, Smallville. I like it because the stories in the programme are great. I also think that it's exciting.

In the series, Clark Kent is a teenager. He lives with his family in the quiet of Smallville. He goes to school and does normal things with his friends, but he also uses his powers to help people. In my opinion, the best character is Lex Luthor. I like Lex Luthor; he's interesting and he becomes Superman's enemy.

The Rise of Eminem

Marshall Mathers was born on 17th October 1973. He lived in Detroit with his mother. He didn't like school, so he left when he was 14. He started to write words for songs. He recorded his own raps too.

In the early 1990s, Eminem began rapping in clubs. He also worked as a chef because he needed the money. In 1995, he recorded his first album. It wasn't successful, but his next album won many prizes and sold millions.

Now he is an international star. He lives in the USA with his wife and daughter. Music is important for him, but he's also interested in films and other projects.
