Personal Reflections and Magical Realism
This novel presents an interesting but tragic story, focusing on the immense suffering Tita endures. Set during the Mexican Revolution, it captures the era's lifestyle while incorporating elements of magical realism. Some parts feel exaggerated or fictitious—such as flowers changing color from a person's blood or a woman who has not recently had a child producing breast milk—yet these elements make the novel a compelling and unique read.
