Task Reports and Learning Documentation

A task report is a document that realizes how an activity has developed, what results have been achieved, and the conclusions that have been reached.

The Structure of Stanzas and Poems

A stanza is a grouping of a specified number of lines whose rhyme is distributed in a fixed manner. Strophic poems are those that can be divided into these verses; those that do not support such a division are non-strophic poems.

Traditional Forms of Lyric Poetry

Poems of the traditional lyrical tradition often have unknown authors and have been transmitted orally. In traditional lyrics, short compositions dominate, featuring assonant rhyme. The octosyllable is the usual verse of traditional Spanish minor art. Key stanzas include:

  • The solea
  • The couplet
  • The quatrain
  • The redondilla

Traditional lyrics stem from the Middle Ages. The beauty of traditional lyric poems has inspired cultured authors, who have imitated their topics and forms.

Cultured Lyrical Forms and the Sonnet

Lyrical poems of cultured composition are created by known authors and transmitted through writing; they possess a higher metric. Through these intricacies, lyric poets have expressed a learned art through elaborate matrices. The sonnet is a strophic poem formed by fourteen hendecasyllable lines divided into two quartets and two triplets.

Understanding Denotation and Connotation

  • Denotation: The word is used denotatively when using the meaning it possesses with its own lexical features.
  • Connotation: The word is used connotatively when adding personal, cultural, or social values.

Expository Writing and Free Verse

An explanation is expository writing in which one provides and develops information on a topic to make it understandable.

Free verse dispenses with a fixed number of syllables in the verses and rhyme. These poems utilize three repetition resources: sound, words, and structure.

Visual Poetry and Poetic Prose

Visual poetry combines verbal language and visual language. Prose poetry (or lyrical prose) incorporates rhythmic effects and many resources of figurative language.

Sentence Classification by Speaker Attitude

  • Enunciative: Affirm or deny facts.
  • Imperative: Express a mandate, order, or request.
  • Optative: Express a desire.
  • Hesitant: Express doubt.

Semantic Change and Punctuation Marks

A semantic change occurs when a word undergoes a change of meaning, modifying its significance while keeping its form (e.g., 'tronco' meaning friend, or 'petar' meaning to fill). Parentheses and brackets are double signs placed at the beginning and end of the text delimited by them.
