Senegal Journey: Stone Circles, Rhino Encounters & UNESCO Sites
Senegal Adventure Update: Dakar, Palmarin & More
Dear Max,
We arrived yesterday in Dakar, Senegal. Tomorrow, we head south to Palmarin. Marco was quite puzzling:
We talked about “Robbison,” but he wants to keep it a secret for a surprise. We'll tell you more about that in our next update next month.
How's your leg? Good morning to the entire team at L'Ocean. Warmest greetings to everyone!
I received your drawings and photos, Emma; you look so pretty in your African robe! And Mar is great at trading with the marabout in town! But where were these photos taken?
The Stone Circles Mystery & Jungle Expedition
Julia: Mine were taken in the jungle. Two days ago, we went to do a story on the stone circles.
Marco: Yes, they are mysterious megaliths, built over two thousand years ago, and have been classified as UNESCO World Heritage. It's truly an incredible site.
Max: Yes, but why did the taxi go completely into the jungle?
The Unexpected Rhino Encounter
Emma: Well, we were observing the stone circles when suddenly we were attacked by a rhinoceros!
Max: No?!
Étienne: People from a neighboring village were alerted by the driver.
Marco: Yes, and the next day we contacted a local newspaper that wanted to know our story.
Lucas: Our story is now known to all inhabitants of the region! An article was even published about us in a newspaper this morning!
Julia: Yesterday, we were even interviewed by two journalists, and my photos were published in the article. We'll send it, you'll see!
Lucas: Etienne is in front of a baobab branch, thick with rhino dung!
Étienne: Yes, laugh, but I was afraid for my life!
