Personal Stories: A Cancelled Concert and a Pool Mishap

My First Concert Experience

When I was just 9 years old, I went to my first and only concert featuring David Bustamante. The event was scheduled in Buenavista, and I was incredibly excited. Days before the show, I prepared several letters with my sister to throw onto the stage, along with my favorite teddy bear.

When the day arrived, I was so eager that I urged my dad to leave early to secure the best spot. However, upon arriving in Buenavista, it began to rain heavily, and the concert was ultimately cancelled. I felt devastated because I wanted to see my favorite singer and deliver my gifts. As a result of the downpour, there was an enormous traffic jam. People were getting out of their cars in frustration, and I did the same, hoping for a miracle that never came.

On the way home, I realized my teddy bear was missing; I must have dropped it during the traffic jam. It was a truly disappointing day: I missed the concert and lost my beloved toy.

An Embarrassing Holiday Moment

An embarrassing situation occurred five years ago while I was on summer vacation in the south of the island with my family. We were having a wonderful time, and my cousin and I participated in every hotel activity.

At night, the monitors would announce the winners of the daily activities at a bar near the pool to award diplomas. When they called my name, I rushed up in a state of pure excitement. Unfortunately, I slipped and fell directly into the pool. The crowd laughed, and I emerged feeling completely flushed. After I finally climbed out and accepted my diploma, everyone clapped, which only made me feel more embarrassed. Consequently, I avoided all activities for the remainder of the trip.
