An Email from Irene

Email: Hi! How are you? It has been a long time since we last met; it is about time we get together for a coffee. This summer, I went on vacation with my family to nearby places. We saw many people, and I had a brilliant time. You have to see the photos and videos I took; you are going to love them. I hope we meet when you come back to Spain for Christmas to see the family, who missed you, as did I. I hope you enjoy your time there; we are waiting for you here with open arms. Kisses, Irene.

Travel Narration: A Trip to Peñíscola

This Easter, I went with my friends to Peñíscola, a very well-known town in Castellón. We stayed in an apartment that was quite nice for the price. However, before arriving, the agency did not tell us exactly where the estate was, and we spent half an hour looking for it; we got lost.

When we arrived, the apartment seemed smaller than usual. It was very cold inside, and there were only two small heaters. The following day, we went to see the town center, the incredible castle, and the wonderful streets. We stayed there for three days. The agency told us the station was nearby, but it wasn't; it was in the next town. In conclusion, they lied to us about almost everything, except for the views from the Castle of Peñíscola. It was quite an experience!

• Sentiment religiós: hi ha una exaltació de la fe divina; tot s'aconsegueix gràcies a Déu.

The Legacy of Ramon Llull

Ramon Llull va fer de la narrativa un instrument per a convèncer i propagar la seua forta convicció religiosa. És el creador de la prosa catalana; ell volia evangelitzar, per tant, calia conèixer bé la llengua perquè el discurs fóra clar i convincent. Llull volia arribar a tothom, adaptava el seu discurs i s'esforçava per fer-se entendre; va ser una tasca molt difícil la creació d'un llenguatge nou.
