Memorable Experiences: Surviving Natural Disasters

Today I have been at my house in the morning getting ready, and then in the afternoon we went to the country. We also went out on the right.
In the afternoon, we went to watch a horror film, and after, we swam in our swimming pool because it was too hot. Then we went back home to get ready for the night. I went out with my friends at 10:30 to the park, and after, we went to the Bottellón and the disco. We arrived home at 5 o'clock in the morning. We had lots of fun!
This was the best day of my life! I loved this day, and I would like to live it again.
Desastre Natural
Hurricane Patricia
On 3rd August 2009, my parents, my sister, and I were sitting in our house in New York, listening to the wind outside. Hurricane Patricia was here! We were all terrified, even our dog, Tico. Eventually, the wind stopped, and we knew the storm was over, so we went to bed.
At first, all was quiet. Then, my mother heard Tico drinking, but she wasn’t drinking from her dish. She was drinking from the floor. Flood water was filling our house! As soon as we realized what was happening, we ran up to the roof. We waited there for two days, with nothing to eat. We were hungry and scared.
Finally, a helicopter came and took us to a safe place. Now I live with my aunt in Miami. I’m sad that we’ve lost our home, but I’m glad that we’re all alive and safe thanks to Tico.
Tsunami
On 17th February, I lived in Majorca. My family and I were sitting in our garden, and we were listening to music when we saw a big wave. The tsunami was here! We were scared and terrified! We had to go on top of the roof. When the wind and waves stopped, we went back home.
At first, it was windy, and everything was calm. Then, the sky got dark, and the wind got stronger. We went to visit our neighbors, and they were terrified. The houses and streets were flooded.
We were two days on the roof without eating or having a shower. We were also cold. Finally, a helicopter came and saved our lives. Now, we live in my grandma’s house. I feel sad because I miss my family and friends, but I feel glad because we are alive and safe.
