Mediterranean Cruise Itinerary: Barcelona to Italy

English3.12 KB

I traveled there by plane from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Airport to Barcelona. When we arrived in Barcelona, we picked up our luggage, and a bus was waiting outside the airport to take us to the port to board the boat. The cruise took place from March 13 to March 20. The accommodation was on the boat in cabin 8038. The places visited are shown on the map provided previously, placed in the order of the journey. Below, I will share what I saw in each location and the food I enjoyed.

Starting the Journey in Barcelona

The first and last destination was the center of Barcelona. On the last day before returning, which was included in the trip, we went to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Ramblas of Barcelona. This was a wonderful trip that I would repeat a thousand times more.

First Stop: Palma de Mallorca

The first destination we reached was Palma de Mallorca, where I visited several landmarks: Panoramic views, Bellver Castle, Santa Maria Cathedral, the Bullring, a Pearl shop, the Shoreline breakwater, and the Almudaina Palace. We took a transfer by bus to the breakwater, and the rest of the tour took place on foot. The monuments and palaces were visited from the outside. The typical food I ate was La Sobrasada Mallorquina.

A Day of Navigation Toward Italy

The second destination was spent in navigation because it was a long journey from Palma de Mallorca to Italy.

Discovering Civitavecchia and Rome

The third destination we reached was Civitavecchia, where I visited: Aurelio Saffi Square, the Church of Prayer, Leandra Square, the Star Church, the City Market, Traiano y Gueto Theater, Mariana, Rome Center, Vatican City, the Colosseum, and Lake Bracciano. Some locations were reached by bus and others on foot. The typical food I ate was Pizza Cubierta de Civitavecchia.

Visiting La Spezia, Florence, and Pisa

The fourth destination we reached was La Spezia, where I visited: Florence Center, the Ferrari Museum, Sarzana, Passeggiata Morin, Corso Cavour, Piazza Beverini, the Church of Saint Mary of the Assumption, St. George's Castle, Pisa Cathedral, and the Baptistery. Some transfers were by bus and others on foot. The typical food I ate was seafood pizza.

Savona, Genoa, and Monaco

The fifth destination we reached was Savona, where I visited: the Old Port, the historic center, Casa de Colón, Genoa, the capital of Monaco, the Monte Carlo casino, the Aquarium of Genoa, Bigo, and Noli. Some were transferred by bus and others on foot. I also sampled the typical food.

The Coastal Beauty of Marseille

The sixth destination I reached was Marseille, where I visited: the Old Port, the Fort of San Juan, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Guard, and the promenade. Some parts of the tour were by bus and others on foot. For the typical food, I ate La Bouillabaisse.
