Environmental and Medical Policy Solutions
3.1 A possible solution to this decision is to consider the creation of open medical services within government policy. These services should be open to receiving suggestions to implement mechanisms that can reduce global warming, starting with the sectors that most significantly affect this phenomenon.
Immigration Policies and Human Rights
4. Another measure is to deny access to Muslims by any means to the United States. This would affect international security as it violates fundamental human rights, such as:
- Free movement
- The right to life
- The right to due process and equal protection
- The right to non-discrimination
- Freedom of religion
Currently, more than 100,000 people suffer serious consequences due to this decision.
According to Dan McLaughlin in the National Review, "foreigners have no right under our Constitution to demand entry into the United States or challenge any reason we have for denying entry, including obvious religious discrimination." With this decision, they say that acts which some extremists have committed are damaging to the United States.
Proposed Migratory Reforms
4.1. One solution to this measure is that the United States must conduct a study of the migratory situation of each of the people who enter and are in the position of refugees or exiles. This is necessary so as not to practice any discrimination and not to relate them to terrorists just by their nationality, race, or religion, and therefore determine if they are able or not to enter the United States.
Protecting Democratic Values Internationally
5. With Trump's actions, the interests of many states are being affected. It is important that an international system is again designed in which the defense of democratic values always comes first.
Social Responsibility and Human Rights
There must be a responsibility as a society, for we are in a moment where the means and the existence of organizations can raise their voices to defend human rights without any ulterior interest. We must find a way for the people who are being affected by all the decisions of Trump to receive an effective and efficient solution finally.
Finally, "social actors, governmental or non-governmental politicians must prepare themselves to face the worst-case scenario and eliminate the effect through proactive actions and confronting the United States government" (HRW, 2016).
