Huck gives his money to Judge Thatcher. At this time, Huck goes to live with the Widow Douglas. The Widow Douglas has a sister, Miss Watson. She has a slave, Jim; he and Huck become friends. One day, Pop tells Huck that he has to give him all the money he has. However, Huck only has a dollar at that moment. Another day, Pop makes Huck stay with him in a hut in the woods. The hut is very far from the Widow's house.
Part Two
Huck explains that his father drinks a lot, hits him, and escapes with a canoe that he found. When the townspeople learn that Huck has disappeared, they decide to look for him, but they don't find him. At this moment, Huck watches them. He looks around the island, sees through the trees, and sees Jim. At that moment, it's raining, and Huck and Jim find a little wooden house and go inside. Another day, they find a raft.
Part Three
The people think that Huck is a girl; because of this, they don't recognize him. When she realizes that Huck is a boy, Huck and Jim escape.
Part Four
One morning, Huck and Jim meet two men; these men use Huck and Jim as slaves. Another day, one of these men goes to a bar to find out about some money. At this moment, Huck escapes and goes to the river. Jim doesn't stay by the river; a man catches Jim. When Huck finds Jim, a woman runs to him. She is Tom's aunt, and she thinks that Huck is Tom.
Part Five
Huck is happy, but suddenly he hears a boat. Tom is traveling in this boat. Huck runs out to Tom. Then Huck explains the whole story to Tom. Tom makes a plan to free Jim. Then, they and Jim escape to the river, but a man hurts Tom's leg, and Jim and Huck dislike leaving their friend.
