English Language Practice: Personal Interests and Goals
Part 1: Daily Life and Interests
- It's really warm.
- I was studying so hard.
- I always drive my motorbike.
- It's "el viaje".
- It's Antonio Orozco.
- I'm fine, thanks.
- I love listening to music.
- Reading books.
- I love soccer.
- We have sunny weather.
Part 2: Personal Motivations
I'm interested in history because my father works as a history teacher. When I was a child, my father read me a lot of stories about Vikings before going to bed.
I'm interested in sports because I feel better when I exercise; therefore, I recognize that I have to train every day to maintain a healthy life.
I'm looking for a flat near Jerez because I don't want to live in my mum's house anymore; I would rather live with my wife.
Part 3: Fitness, History, and Language Goals
Fitness and Lifestyle
I'm a new member! I had never been to a fitness club, so I need to train hard. Why don't I talk about my situation with him? It would be a good idea.
It's amazing! I regret not having been a member before. I can do different activities like cycling and swimming; therefore, I need to train more often because, nowadays, I'm out of shape, but let's give it time.
People love doing sports like running, cycling, and even CrossFit! However, I hate CrossFit because some research doesn't recommend it. I would rather go running along the beach while I look at the landscape.
I'm a new member and I'm so excited! I need to share experiences with other people to feel better.
Historical Interests and Travel
My favourite historical figure is Ragnar. He is the most important Viking who has ever existed. He was poor; however, he fought to conquer the world. The Vikings conquered France and England.
It's 3,000 years old. You will see a city museum. In Calle Populo, you will visit the Roman Circus or the old Cathedral; it's exciting and amazing! Therefore, if I were you, I would live there forever.
Language Learning and Future Plans
Nowadays, I'm studying English because I want to pass the public exams and work as a teacher, but I haven't studied English for six years.
It's amazing! I would rather watch TV in its original version because I feel frightened when I have to describe something, even though I accept that the best way to learn English is by speaking.
It's evident that it is the best place if you want to learn; however, I wish I lived in England to practice more, but that is more expensive than studying at an academy.
Moving and Housing
We would like to move here because I just got married, so we want to start a family together. Moreover, Jerez is bigger than Cadiz; nevertheless, in summer, we would rather live in Cadiz as it is less hot there.
We're looking for a flat that is comfortable, roomy, and modern. We need four rooms, two bedrooms, and, above all, a spacious kitchen as we love cooking. Would it be possible? We don't have much money.
If we lived in the city, we could meet different people and use public transport to go to work, allowing us to move faster than in the village.
