Second Level: Draft Curriculum Center

It is important to differentiate between the Educational Project (PEC), which defines the identity of the Center. The PEC is an instrument for medium-term planning that aims to bring coherence and personality to the Centers. It is broader and includes both the PCC (Curriculum Project) and educational goals, as well as the Regulation on Organization and Operation (ROF). Its development is coordinated by the Management Team and should involve all sectors of the educational community, in accordance with guidelines developed by the School Board and proposals made by faculty and parent associations.

The PCC (Curriculum Project)

The PCC is the educational and didactic tool articulated in the medium to long term, setting out the set of actions for the faculty of an educational center. It is intended to meet the obligations and objectives of each stage, consistent with the educational purpose of the center. It is an articulated set of decisions that can be clarified by the DCB (Basic Curriculum Document) in appropriate educational intervention projects for a specific context. Its development ensures appropriate progression and coherence in the teaching of educational content throughout schooling. The design and development are the responsibility of the teaching teams, coordinated by the Educational Coordination Technical Team, and must be approved by the Center's Teaching Professors.

Curriculum Project Offerings

The Curriculum Project must include coordinated curriculum offerings staged therein.

Educational Project (PEC)

Definition

The PEC defines the goals of the educational community regarding the type of person we want to be (values, principles of identity, behavior patterns, etc.). It reflects the general educational approaches: principles of identity, institutional objectives, and general organization. The operation of a center is based on the School Educational Project (PEC), which embodies the center's ideology and responds to the following questions:

  • Where are we? (Analysis of the context).
  • Who are we? (Principles of identity).
  • What do we want? (General objectives to achieve).
  • How can we organize to achieve it?

Preparation and Approval

Who prepares it? It must be prepared by the educational community and approved by the School Board.

Who approves and assesses it? Approved and assessed by the School Board.
