The Chile Relleno Jet

Considered the city's typical dish, this pepper is grown in the region only during a specific season and is named after the method used for its irrigation. It is light green, spicy, and soft in consistency. It is prepared stuffed with a rich paste made from beans, onion, tomato, and cheese.

Callejon del Beso

This romantic corner is formed by two balconies separated by only 68 cm. It is named after the legend of two lovers whose families forbade their union.

They met clandestinely on these balconies. A window in Doña Ana's house opened onto the balcony in an alley so narrow that one could touch the opposite wall. Don Carlos, her lover, bought the house across the street to be near her. When Doña Ana's father discovered them kissing, he thrust a dagger into his daughter's chest. Don Carlos, facing the inevitable, left a tender kiss on Doña Ana's hand while she was still in his, already dead.

It is said that couples who kiss on the third step are guaranteed seven years of happiness. This ritual is a must for all couples visiting this romantic city.

Union Garden

This beautiful triangular park, known locally as "The Slice of Cheese," is located in the center of town and surrounded by cafes and restaurants.

It serves as a meeting place for locals, students, and tourists. From Thursday to Sunday, groups gather here to join estudiantinas for traditional tours of the city's alleys.
