Bioeconomy Publications in Spain (2005–2019)

As we can see in this graph, from the years 2005 to 2008, we had a very stable number of bioeconomy texts published in Spain. However, in the year 2009, there was a sudden take-off from five texts published in the previous year to 20 in the following one, due to a research program incentive from the Spanish Government. Then, the number of published texts suddenly crashed to seven in the year 2010, probably because of the conclusion of this government program. Following this decrease, from 2010 through the next five years, we can see a gradual increase in publications until it reached a stable number of 20 for the following four years.

Fast Food Consumption Trends Among Australian Teens

The graph provides information about the consumption of fast food by Australian teenagers. The most obvious trend is that pizza and hamburgers have grown over the years, while fish and chips have seen a downward trend. First, hamburgers underwent a dramatic increase between 1975 and 1985, followed by a less significant rise until 1995. Finally, hamburger consumption stabilized in 1995. It can be noted that pizza follows a similar trend to the previous one, but it differs in that the increases are not as strong. On the other hand, fish and chips suffered a slight drop in 1975, followed by a brief recovery; however, in 1985, they suffered a steady decline without any subsequent increase.

The Role of Antioxidants in Human Health

In the article “Antioxidants in Food,” the text discusses the great number of diseases caused by free radicals created by oxidation. We also highlight the above with Maillard's reaction that occurs in bread. Firstly, antioxidant agents are responsible for eliminating these free radicals, although excess oxygen is harmful to the body. In general, antioxidants play a vital role in the body and are found in different foods, such as vitamins. It should be noted that Vitamin E is able to stop the oxidation of LDL, or "bad" cholesterol. In addition, the fruits and vegetables studied with the greatest antioxidant power are blueberries and blackberries. Finally, we would like to point out that the two main causes of many deaths in the United States are cancer and cardiovascular disease. Because of this, more work is being done to improve foods that are able to satisfy the tastes of consumers who demand a high nutritional level. We point out that the raspberry food product with white chocolate covers all the needs to be valued as a beneficial food.
