Adrian is a thirteen-year-old boy who lives in a problematic and real society. Every day, he faces the difficult challenges that a teenager encounters: physical changes, insecurity, incomprehension, etc. Adrian takes care of an elderly man named Bert Baxter. Furthermore, he works at a newspaper delivery company. His best friend is Nigel, and his greatest enemy is Barry Kent. Nigel is Pandora's boyfriend, and Adrian is in love with Pandora.

In addition, Adrian has other problems. His mother doesn't care about him or his father; she prefers to spend her time with a neighbor, Mr. Lucas, who receives her affection, and they eventually fall in love. She leaves the family home.

His father is an alcoholic and shows little interest in his job or his son. Adrian only receives attention from his grandmother, who doesn't live with them. His father falls in love with Doreen Slater. She has a son named Maxwell.

Finally, Adrian's mother leaves Mr. Lucas and returns to her husband and Adrian. Moreover, Adrian is happy because Pandora falls in love with him.

Personal Conclusion

This book depicts the real life of a teenager. The protagonist, Adrian, recounts his adventures and problems in a secret diary. The pages are filled with humor and analyze the social reality in which he lives.

In my opinion, I think this book is very interesting and entertaining. In addition, it is very appropriate for my course and age.
