Beery Test VMI: Visual Motor Integration and Perception

The Beery Test VMI (Visual Motor Integration) evaluates visual perception. For each item, there is an information sheet entitled Endpoint. This sheet provides the standard and the requirements for a passing grade.

Determining the Age Equivalent (VMI Raw Score)

To determine the age equivalent of the VMI, calculate the Raw Score. The Raw Score is the total number of figures completed before the student makes three consecutive errors.

Example: If the student successfully completes the first 10 figures, fails the next three, and then performs well on subsequent figures, the raw score is 10. Refer to the corresponding table to find the equivalent age for that raw score.

Verbal Battery BEVTA: Assessment for Learning Disabilities

The Verbal Battery BEVTA was designed to analyze the performance of children with impaired verbal learning in different areas involved in the reading learning process.

BEVTA Subtests and Age Ranges

  • Immediate Verbal Assimilation Test (TAVI): 7 to 10 years
  • Test of Verbal Similarities (3-S): 7 to 12 years
  • Proof of Concepts Nomination Grouped by Category (CAT-V): 8 to 12 years
  • Verbal Serialization Test (S-V): 8 to 17 years

TEDE: Exploratory Test of Specific Dyslexia

Developed by Mabel Condemarín.

Application and Correction

  • Application: Single application.
  • Observation: Be attentive to the movement of the child's eyes during the test.
  • Correction: The two parts of the test are computed independently. Errors are counted and subtracted from the maximum possible test score.

Evaluated Metrics

The test results provide the following metrics:

  • Percentile and T-score
  • Reading Level
  • Specific Errors
  • Age Group
  • Level during the course subject

EDIL-1: Exploration of Individual Reading Difficulties

Application Details

  • Application: Single application; partial group implementation possible.
  • Scope: Children at the first reading level or children already identified with reading difficulties.

Reading Areas Evaluated

The EDIL-1 evaluates the following reading areas:

  1. Part A: Reading Accuracy (Three subtests)
  2. Part B: Reading Comprehension (Four subtests)
  3. Part C: Reading Speed (Measured over 2 minutes)

CLP: Complexity Progressive Reading Comprehension

The CLP is a standardized instrument designed to measure reading ability during the stages corresponding to basic general education.
