1 Undigested food and food waste pass through the small intestine. At this stage the undigested food and waste still contain a lot of water
2 In the large intestine most of the water is absorbed back into the body The solid waste that remains forms solid lumps called faeces. They pass into the rectum where they're stored
3 Finally the faeces are expelled through the anus

1 As our blood travels around our bodies it passes through our kidneys. The kidneys filter the blood removing extra water and waste forming a liquid called urine .
