I am writing in response to an article in Friday’s edition of your newspaper. I would like to point out that I was disappointed to read comments stating that travelling by train is a thing of the past. I want to bring it to your kind attention that it is not true.

Firstly there is an obvious advantage of travelling by train: you do not hear engine noises, so you can rest peacefully.

Next, studies and opinions have shown that it is the most comfortable public means of transport.

Finally, I am due to set off on a trip to many cities all over of Europe by train and there have not been any complaints about this transport. I therefore suggest you think carefully before printing such comments.
