The Earth's crust is formed by plates that float on the mantle, a layer of hot, pasty material that sometimes come out a crack forming volcanoes.
The density and pressure increase toward the center of the Earth. At the core are the most heavy metals. The heat stays in the liquid state, with strong movements. The inner core is solid.
